Ard Rí Community National School will hold an information evening on January 25th 2011, @ 8 p.m. in Navan Rugby Club.

Santa Visits Ard Rí

Although Santa Claus is extremely busy at this time of year, he managed to pay a flying visit to the children of Ard Rí CNS.

Science Day @ Ard Rí

Thursday 9th December saw Ard Rí Community National School’s first ever Science Day. Local scientist Fiona Glacken performed a number of experiments with the Junior Infant pupils. The children discovered how plants grow, how to make static electricity, how to mix different colours and even how to produce carbon dioxide.

Ard Rí’s Celebration Ceremony

Celebration Ceremony in Ard Rí CNS
Thursday 21st October saw Ard Rí Community National Schools inaugural Celebration Ceremony. Parents, Grandparents, brothers, sisters and parents of the pupils of Ard Rí CNS all came together to celebrate the occasion. The pupils of Ard Rí had been working hard preparing songs and stories to share with their loved ones and by all accounts the ceremony was a huge success.
Principal of Ard Rí CNS, Patrick Sullivan commented “The ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to invite the families of our pupils into our school and celebration their children’s enrolment in our school.”
The ceremony was also attended by Meath VEC CEO Peter Kierans and Manager of Ard Rí CNS Christy Duffy.
The Celebration Ceremony is part of the multi-belief programme taught in the school. The ceremony was full of songs and stories explaining about the transition for pupils into school life. It is designed to aid the transition for pupils into their new surroundings, whilst involving parents and families in the school community.
Christy Duffy, Manager of Ard Rí CNS commented that “it was so nice to see such happy faces in the school. The children are clearly enjoying themselves in Ard Rí”.
